Countdown to Opening Day—November 19, 2016
Purgatory is gearing up for another great ski season. This winter brings many mountain improvements, including a new lift and trail, and enhancements to the Legends Bypass. Plus, the 2016/2017 Power Pass features a monthly payment plan and FREE skiing at exciting new pass partner ski areas.

Snowmaking & Better Tree Skiing
Purgatory’s snowmaking system is being enhanced to make snowmaking more productive and efficient. And a hazard tree mitigation project will vastly improve the health of the forest, as well as enhance tree skiing at the resort.
New Lift & New Trail
A new T-3 surface lift on the backside of the mountain will transport skiers heading west to the Legends Lift 8 high-speed detachable-quad chairlift, which debuted last winter. The T-3 lift will also connect a new trail to the Legends Lift 8. The Legends Bypass, which opened last winter as an alternative way down to Lift 8, will be widened and re-graded. These improvements will offer skiers a more gradual and user-friendly trail to access Lift 8. Work on the new lift, new trail, and Bypass will begin in September. This winter’s Power Pass features an all-new Young Adult pass for 30-36 year olds, plus an all-new interest-free monthly payment plan. Get unlimited skiing and snowboarding at five mountains–Purgatory, Hesperus, Arizona Snowbowl, Sipapu and Pajarito with no blackout dates.
