MTN Bike Festival Offers FREE Races & Uplifts for Everyone!
We’re hosting the MTB Festival and Flow Trail Race presented by McDonald’s this Sunday (August 27th.) The Divinity Flow Trail has become a staple in the local downhill scene during its first two years and we’re offering FREE mountain bike uplifts for the community to celebrate!
Sign up for one of many FREE race categories (for any age or ability) on race day. Race sign-ups begin at 10:00 am on Purgy’s patio, where free uplift tickets will be handed out (not the ticket office!) Ska provide drinks and food will be available as well. Learn more about the event!
If you can’t make the MTB Festival and Flow Trail Race, be sure to join us at our next Purgatory Sports shop ride! Every other Tuesday, we set off from our shop at 2615 Main Avenue in Durango and tackle some of Durango’s best trails. All ages and abilities welcome! Our next ride is on September 5th! Learn more here.
Purgatory is committed to growing mountain biking — both at our resort and within our community — and as part of that effort, we’re thrilled have Hogan Koesis as our new Mountain Bike Director.
Hogan joins the team with more than a decade of experience in the biking industry. Most recently, he was the assistant mountain manager and bike park director for Angel Fire Resort in New Mexico where he developed new mountain bike trails, creating the largest bike park in the Rocky Mountains.
Hogan will improve mountain bike recreation across our family of resorts. In his new position, he’ll assess mountain bike activities at resorts, develop improvement plans, add features to trails, organize events and races, and much more!
We can’t wait for you to see what we’ve got in store for mountain biking at Purgatory Resort!
