MLK Weekend Kicks Off with Powder Day
Snowflakes lightly fell to the slopes as excited skiers and snowboarders waited to load Lift 1 at 9am on the morning of Friday, January 17. The snow report indicated that one inch of fresh snow had fallen overnight, with more expected to fall throughout the day. As the day went on, the snow began to fall harder. By Saturday morning, an additional six inches had fallen.
Friday’s storm was the perfect start to MLK weekend. Saturday’s conditions were the perfect blend of fluffy powder and bluebird skies, and Sunday provided plenty of powder stashes waiting to be discovered along with smooth, freshly-groomed trails.
Snow returns to the forecast this Tuesday and Wednesday. Need a little inspiration to get up to the mountain this week? Check out the photos below for fat flakes and face shots.
