March 7 Event Recap: Uncle Clyde’s Run & Slide and Hollywood Huckfest
Saturday, March 7 kicked off the beginning of Spring Break at Purgatory Resort. Along with beautiful, sunny conditions, the slopes were filled with fun and excitement as two events took place throughout the day.
Uncle Clyde’s Run & Slide provided family fun in the Columbine Beginner Area as participants ran up the side of the tubing hill before sliding down on tubes. There were tutus. There were tights. And there tons of smiles.
Meanwhile up on the slopes, the Hollywood Huckfest sent skiers and snowboarders down a challenging freeride-style course complete with jumps, jibs and moguls. A new event this year, the Huckfest served as a fundraiser for local freeride legend, Shane Millener.
