Read a Note From Our General Manager

As I write this, snow is falling and there’s a fresh coat of powder spread across the mountain. We continue to show up each day to provide you, our valued employees, passholders and guests, an unparalleled skiing experience right here in the San Juan Mountains. And let me tell you — the skiing is pretty darn good. See what the mountain looked like today.

With heightened levels of concern surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), I wanted to ensure you that we are working closely with local public health officials to monitor and assess this evolving situation. Purgatory has been actively supporting La Plata County’s planning, community monitoring and response efforts of COVID-19. The resort staff is working side-by-side with public health experts, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and will continue to do so until there is no longer a public health concern.

The health and well-being of our guests and employees are of unparalleled importance. As this continues to unfold, we may continue to make adjustments to the way we live and work. We have already taken steps to make flexible policies available for guests who have advance reservations with us. Learn more about our new rebooking policy.

We will be open daily through April 12 to provide our community with a healthy and safe place to recreate and work. Please monitor our blog and social channels for timely updates on this topic.

With best regards from the staff and management team,

Dave Rathbun
General Manager
