Fresh Snow & Progress Made on Drive Terminals
With fresh snow on the mountain from yesterday’s storm, our lift crew is working hard to make more progress on the new Legends Lift 8 terminals. As you can imagine, it’s essential that the terminal roofs are in place because winter storms are becoming more frequent.

We continue to burn slash piles and are grading the bottom of Lift 8. Access to the backside of the mountain has switched to snowmobiles as Mother Nature continues to bring us more snow. Next up, the rigging crew will head over to Purgatory and start pulling the haul rope. These are specialized crews that travel around to the other mountains installing lifts. They will also be pulling three communication cables down line, being fixed at each tower.
Mother Nature Delivers More Snow for Opening Day!
Snowmaking continues on the frontside of the mountain, providing an essential base to get us through the season. Mother Nature is doing her part as well and we appreciate that with an additional 6 inches at mid-mountain as of this morning.

Many thanks to our tireless snowmaking crew. They work around the clock to prep the mountain for skiers and snowboarders, working throughout the night and into the day in the blustery cold. In many ways, they are our unsung heroes at the resort. Our snowmaking and grooming crews are truly the ones who make the magic happen, so the next time you see one of our guys, give them a high five or a pat on the back.
Opening day is approximately 10 days away, so get those skis tuned up for Sat., Nov. 21!
