Meet Your Presenters & Facilitators

 

For this retreat, we have brought together two highly regarded doctors, a world-class nutrition expert, and two amazing yoga instructors.  They are your guides throughout the three days.

Samantha Johnson, ND

Dr. Johnson graduated from the National University of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, OR.  She serves as a Naturopathic Doctor at Namaste Health Center in Durango, CO.

During her career, Dr. Johnson has studied under some of the world’s most renowned naturopaths and herbalists.  Dr. Johnson specializes in digestive issues and has acquired a large international following for her research into IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and related ailments.

Dr. Johnson has a deep appreciation for the healing powers of nature and believes that the body innately wants to be well.  She believes it is nature’s gift that we have all the tools we need available for free in our backyards for any ailment we might come across.

Schedule

Although we have a lot planned for these three days, this weekend is meant to be relaxing and restorative.  All activities and sessions are optional, and we have built in plenty of flexibility and free time to ensure you come away feeling renewed and refreshed.

Yoga

Each day includes multiple options for yoga, in the morning and afternoon.  Join in for one or both, your choice.

Health

Sessions led by our two doctors will take place throughout the morning and afternoon.  Sessions will be structured around specific topics tailored to the questions and issues that are important to you.

Nutrition

Each day will start with a Superfood smoothie, lovingly prepared by our nutrition guru, Derek.  Throughout the three days, Derek will lead sessions on nutrition tailored to the specific needs of our participants.

Outdoor Activities

Start your day with a sunrise hike.  Take a break in the afternoon for biking or paddleboarding.  Try a different activity each day and explore the beautiful mountain scenery.

Evening Activities

In the evenings, unwind and relax with a complimentary glass of wine before dinner, then enjoy a unique dining experience at our secluded mountaintop restaurant.  As the sun goes down, we’ll have music and games to entertain you as we take in the magical nighttime beauty of the mountains.
