New Year’s Eve at Purgatory

 

NEW! Night Skiing & Tubing

We will be having the first-ever New Year’s Eve party in the Columbine area! Festivities include:

Night skiing and tubing open until 12:30am
DJ Dean will be rocking the mountain
Drinks, food, and fire pits at the Elevation station
FREE shuttles back to Durango (see below)

 

Fireworks and Torchlight Parade

Come out to the Beach at 6pm and join us for our favorite holiday tradition.  Watch as our entire ski school team of instructors traverses the mountain, lighting up the slopes with torchlights.

When the parade ends, enjoy a great fireworks show!

 

 

New Year’s Eve Rail Jam

When our fireworks show ends, the party is just beginning. We’re going to light up the DC terrain park and watch the best talent in the area show off their skills. This competition is open to everyone: we will have men’s and women’s categories, various age groups, and lots of prizes!

Alpenglow NYE Tour

Experience the fireworks at Purgatory like never before and get a on mountain view with this special Alpenglow Tour! $65 per person: includes snowshoes, chairlift ride, guides and a special NYE party with hot cocoa, wine, beer, fruit and cheese.

Buffet Dinner at Hoody’s

Hoody’s hosts a special buffet-style New Year’s Eve dinner featuring carving stations, amazing desserts, and a build-your-own hot chocolate bar.  Dinner is served in three seatings: 5pm | 7pm | 9pm.

The Outskirts at Purgy’s

Purgy’s keeps the restaurant rocking all day and evening through the New Year. The party continues past midnight with The Outskirts, Durango’s favorite bluegrass band, playing from 6pm-1am.

  

 

Snowcat Dinner at Powderhouse

Enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience and savor a sophisticated five-course dinner with wine pairings and more (details). Ride from the base area in a snowcat departing at 7pm after the fireworks.

New Year’s Party for Kids!

Kids Night Out is for kids ages 2 months to 10 years and includes dinner, arts and crafts, games, movies, snacks and safe, interactive fun. Available from 5:30-10:00pm, $30 per child. For information & reservations, call (970)385-2144.

NOTE: Free Shuttles are sold out and any remaining seats will be available on a first-come, first served basis. New this year we will be offering shuttles from Durango Transit Center to Purgatory before and after the fireworks or stay up at Purgatory until the new year and ski into 2018.
