Reports To:Housekeeping Manager/Rooms Director
Ensure that the property’s quality standards are maintained on a daily basis and help with the training of new hires to Purgatory Resorts standards.
Inspect units after cleaning to ensure they are presented and maintained to quality standards.
Conduct damage inspections immediately following check-out to ensure no damage has occurred.
Complete unit inventories prior to arrival and ensure all units are maintained at the standard inventory level.
Ensure all units are cleaned on a timely basis.
Assist with training new housekeepers to Purgatory Resort standard.
Re-train housekeepers on a daily basis as items are missed during the cleaning process.
Complete work orders and notify maintenance of all maintenance and repair issues.
Notify the Owner’s Relations Coordinator of all wear and tear and replacement issues in the units.
Maintain the lost and found program and ship items to the appropriate owner in a timely fashion.
Ensure linen closets, carts and store room are clean, stocked and properly maintained.
Communicate and update room status through the phone system after every room inspection.
Assign units to Housekeepers in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager.
Turn in all Guest Comment forms to the Hotel Operations Manager on a daily basis.
Perform Housekeeping duties as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to direct other employees to adhere to established standards in department
- Education/Formal Training: High school diploma or GED
- Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping or related field. 5 years of housekeeping experience preferred.
Material and Equipment Directly Used:
Cleaning chemicals, vacuums, mops, brooms, department vehicles.
Working environment/Physical Activities:
100% of the day is spent standing, walking and completing manual tasks. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, feeling to clean various surfaces and make beds. Frequent pushing and pulling of carts up to 80lbs. Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50lbs Occasionally climbing, balancing. Atmospheric conditions may include fumes, odors, dusts and mists. Occasional gases and poor ventilation may also be encountered. Potential hazards include exposure to toxic, caustic chemical cleaning agents. Occasional exposure to mechanical, electrical, and burn hazards may also occur.Apply Now
