Position Title: 

Engineering Volunteer

Reports To: 

Director of Facility Maintenance



General Purpose:

To assist the facilities maintenance department with the performance of “handy man” basic engineering services and tasks in Resort facilities under its purview.

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:

Examples of engineering services/tasks to be performed:

–painting including minor projects and paint touch-ups
–installation/replacement of batteries and/or light bulbs sometimes necessitating use of a ladder
–minor repairs necessitating the use of hand or power tools
–minor drywall repairs and/or touch-ups
–minor grout or tile repairs

Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Solid interpersonal skills. Ability to learn and adhere to company safety policies.

Alertness, precision, ingenuity, concentration, judgment, initiative, patience, oral and written communication skills are necessary.

Education or Formal Training: None required.

Experience: “handy man” level service experience preferred.

Material and Equipment Directly Used:

Hand and power tools.

Working Environment/ Physical Activities:

Job duties can vary between indoor and outdoor job locations with outdoors experiencing constantly changing weather conditions, including snow, extreme cold and wet.

May be exposed to dust and chemical solutions commonly used in the performance of residential and/or commercial facilities repairs.

Lifting of items necessary to perform facilities maintenance duties.
