Purgatory’s summer activities are now closed for the season. Summer activities will re-open in 2018!
With Purgatory’s Total Adventure Ticket, you can choose your own summer alpine adventure. Choose five or ten mountain activities from over one dozen rides and attractions throughout the resort and Village Plaza, and the surrounding area.
Summer activities have changed hours of operations and will only be open weekends starting August 20th – October 8th.

|Single Tickets||Single tickets range from $7-$15. Buy single and walk-up Total Adventure Tickets at the Main Ticket Office in Purgatory Village.|
Some height, weight and age limitations apply. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable, children under 6 can share a Total Adventure Ticket with an adult. Winter isn’t the only time to fly down the mountain. Purgatory welcomes a brand new summer tubing slope in the Columbine area, featuring multiple lanes for a total of 900 feet of pure fun. Columbine Lift 9 provides uplift for guests and tubes. Learn more
Big Airbag Jump
Purgatory’s 50′ x 50′ air-inflated bag gives adrenaline seeking guests a cushy landing when they freefall jump from the 18′ platform. New to the Columbine area this summer, Big Airbag Jump is the same kind of airbag used for movie stunts and freestyle athlete training. Learn more
Boats & Boards
Purgatory partners with Durango Board & Boat to offer guests stand up paddle boarding and boat rentals. Spend 30 minutes on the serene alpine Twilight Lake, just across from the main entrance to Purgatory. Learn more
Feel the fresh wind in your face as you speed down the track, or take a leisurely ride and enjoy the spectacular views. The chairlift carries sliders up the mountain for a more than half-mile descent. Purgatory’s legendary Alpine Slide is fun for the whole family. Learn more
Enjoy a scenic chairlift ride on Lift 1 or Lift 4. Ride round-trip, or hop off at the top and enjoy the breathtaking views of the San Juan Mountains, as you hike along the trails that traverse the mountain. Learn more
Purgatory Plunge Zipline
Plunge off the Purgatory Village Tower–the tallest structure in the Durango area–and glide the length of a football field at speeds up to 35 mph. Race your friends or family from the top of the Tower over Purgatory Beach for even more excitement.
Sky High Adventure Family Ropes Course
Use your skills and instincts to navigate this family-friendly ropes course designed especially for Purgatory. Climb over wooden beams, rope ladders and wooden steps, cross on a suspended skateboard and more. Challenge yourself or your family. Learn more
