Activities & Weather

The Purgatory Bike Park is now closed. Thanks for a great season! 

All summer activities are weather permitting. For current weather conditions and operating schedule, call the Main Ticket Office at 970-385-2168.

Hiking is permitted on the World Champs uphill cross-country trail, forest roads and ski runs. For the safety of our guests and riders hiking is not permitted on downhill mountain biking trails. 

Cross-country trails not patrolled or maintained, ride at your own risk.

Inferno Mountain Coaster

With a length of 4,000 feet, the Inferno mountain coaster zooms passengers through nine switchbacks, one 360-degree circle and multiple dips while covering over 300 vertical feet.

Alpine Slide

Feel the fresh wind in your face as you speed down the track, or take a leisurely ride and enjoy the spectacular views. The chairlift carries sliders up the mountain for a more than half-mile descent.

Purgatory Bike Park features podium-quality terrain, new trails, and an established pathway to the over 400 miles of backcountry singletrack that has put Durango on the map in the mountain bike hemisphere.

Day Ticket Activities

Purgatory Resort is offering seven activities for the summer 2020 season including the exciting Inferno Mountain Coaster, Durango’s only alpine slide and lift-served mountain biking. New this season, activities will be offered in two sessions from 9am-12:30pm and 12:30pm-4pm.
